The Alpha Numeric Phone Number must carry the Effectiveness Certification Mark
The number must not incorporate any ancillary words or numbers e.g. 1300 MYplumber,1300 4weddings
The number of potential providers in an industry needs to be large enough to warrant a shared use solution
There is an existing, measurable and proven demand for the number in the related industry
The number must be easy to remember and simple to spell
The type of products / services that people buy / book / order over the phone compared with in-store foot traffic
The type of products and services that consumers and providers prefer to deal and source locally
